Rose and Immelman lead after Day 1

Justin Rose and Trevor Immelman are sharing the lead after day 1 at the US Masters in Augusta at -4. Tiger Woods is 4 shots back on even par, but is still the favourite to win the tournament, although his odds have lengthened a little and he will be teeing off at 7/4.

Rose is now on 6/1 with Immelman on 20/1 Rose.

Historic day for Gary Player

It was a very special day for Gary Player who now becomes the man who has played in the most Masters tournaments with his 51st appearance. He shot an 83 which is 11 over par. Not half bad for a man of 72.
